About Us
Our Team
Our family-run 501(c) animal rescue & sanctuary is nestled away in the beautiful county of Whatcom, located in Washington State. Our sanctuary was founded by Bella, the youngest member of the family. Throughout the years, Bella's incredible parents, Christina and Kevin, have become large components of the Sanctuary! Christina runs our neonatal kitten program and Kevin makes everything, from fencing to daily projects, possible.
Our History
In 2014, the founder of Sacred Souls Sanctuary learned about a litter of local orphaned kittens in need. Jumping into action, Bella took them in as fosters, thus beginning a passion for helping animals in need. Since then, Sacred Souls has been home to hundreds of cats, dogs, goats, pigs, donkeys, chickens, pocket pets, and horses.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide sanctuary to those who have been forgotten, animals and humans alike. Our animals partner with local adults and children to assist in learning the skills of verbal and nonverbal communication, empathy, kindness, etc.
Through these programs, many children and adults are able to visit our animals and experience the healing properties they provide!
